Team for Burnley
I must confess I'm getting a bit tired of labelling every game as "crucial". We all know where things stand and will be taking a lot of interest in our rivals' results.

On the injury front, Cresswell and Masuaku are both expected to be available. There has been a bit of talk of Lingard being a slight doubt and that Rice might be ready early, but I very much doubt that there's any truth in either of those rumours.

For me one of the most important issues for this one is whether we go for three or four at the back. With Noble in the side it's possibly a bit risky going for a back four but I think we need to throw caution to the wind here and go balls out attack. I'm hoping that the restoration of this season's best CB partnership of Ogbonna and Dawson can get back to their best. That leaves room for Benrahma, with Fornals dropping a little bit deeper.

Fabianski
Coufal Dawson Ogbonna Cresswell
Noble Soucek
Fornals
Benrahma Lingard
Bowen

First time I've used my sources. But I think they are still right about Antonio.
I'll put them back in the kennel ...

Rice didn’t have a late fitness test. He was never going to make it. Sad that some twatter accounts feel the need to lie.

yeah but this time I don't think even Moyes knows who is going to be fit to start

Branded - not at all. Just that it doesn't have to be meaningless.

Are we saying football without fans in attendance is ok then?

Re: Team for Burnley
Moyes likes to keep his team selection close to his chest, believing it gives the opposition an advantage in preparing against a specific opponent. Whoever Moyes picks you know it’s going to be the best he has available

Re: Team for Burnley
This is probably the most unpredictable line-up of the season, with all these rumours of injuries and players possibly returning from injury. I suppose it can only be a good thing that Moyes keeps it quiet.

The season is utterly meaningless if you havent been able to attend.

What a ridiculous comment. What about people like me who live at the other side of the country and only usually make it once or twice a season? What about all the fans scattered all over the world? It may be meaningless for you, but that's your problem.

Branded- meaningless? So you won’t be going to any Europa games then? Attention seeker

Re: Team for Burnley
It all depends on who we have available! So many rumours about Antonio or Rice, Masuaka or Cresswell etc. Whoever Moyes picks will be good for me! It’s unfortunate we’ve picked up injuries on nearly half of what might be considered our first 10 outfield players! And maybe our two most influential in Antonio and Rice! Game on COYIRONS

Boleyn, the only centre back I’ve seen do a decent job on Woods for us is Dawson, Diop will get bullied by him...

Re: Team for Burnley
Assuming we are without Noble, Rice & Antonio I would go with :

Fabianski
Coufal
Diop
Ogbonna
Cresswell
Fredericks
Soucek
Lanzini
Fornals
Lingard
Bowen

subs bench including Dawson, Balbuena, Johnson, Masuaku, Benrahma, Yarmalenko is strongest we have had for a while.

Reckon we should just go for it and see what happens. Letting them dictate would be a big mistake especially with Woods in form. Unfortunately weather conditions might favour them more than us.

Re: Team for Burnley
This game isn’t huge for me as I did not expect us to be challenging at the top end for European places. Because of the hard work the players have put in and it is at the business end of the season I expect the players to have all the remaining games down as huge until it’s mathematically confirmed we have a European spot or not.

I want to celebrate this season as the one where we became a team of concern to others. I am more interested in how we stabilise this with clever investment into the holes in our squad.

Re: Team for Burnley
I'm hoping that we set up against Burnley the way that we should have against Newcastle. I don't mind 5-4-1 against Man U or even Chelsea, but we should be more positive against the likes of Newcastle and Burnley. They'll be happy with a draw against us, so we can't rely on counter-attacks. We'll have to take the game to them, put them under pressure and see if they crack.

It looked like that was starting to happen during the Newcastle game when Benrahma came on and started running at them. I know he's not a perfect player and can lose the ball, but players like Masuaku and Johnson lose the ball in far more dangerous positions than Benrahma, but they regularly start matches.

Same line-up as exile except Balbuena in for Dawson.

Re: Team for Burnley
Yeah, HUGE game for us this one. In some respects, this is just as important as the Chelsea game - because a few sides of now gone past us and, if we lose this tonight, we could easily drift away into 7th or 8th place and no Europe.

Our season has lost momentum amid injuries and suspensions over the past couple of weeks. We'll see if those left standing can respond tonight.

COYI!

Re: Team for Burnley
Badly need to sort out defence. Shipping just over 2 goals per game avg, for last five games. Burnley scoring 2 per game avg last 5 games.

A bit worried about this one, a scrappy 1 nil would be nice.

C & H have confirmed what I suggested yesterday - late fitness test for Rice.
